The spin-off to animated comedy 'Finding Nemo' features some new characters including Hank the octopus, which is voiced by Ed O'Neill, a beluga whale and a shark whale.

AceShowbiz - "Finding Dory", a spin-off to Andrew Stanton's "Finding Nemo", has just revealed some new details. D23 Expo 2015 which is being held in Anaheim, offers some new footage from the movie and reveals a new character voiced by Ed O'Neill.
The Pixar Portion of the Animation panel gives a look at O'Neill's character which turns out to be a companion for the titular fish. In the upcoming movie, a friendly octopus named Hank serves as Dory's new compatriot. Dory meets him at the Marine Life Institute, and he becomes her guide on her journey.

Back in December 2014, Pixar President Jim Morris had already teased about some new characters that would appear in the movie. "The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised," he said. "We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others."
Besides Hank, there are Bailey, a white beluga whale voiced by Ty Burrell, and Destiny, a shark whale voiced by Kaitlin Olson. Meanwhile, Dory's parents Charlie and Jenny will be voiced by Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton.
Based on the revelations in the panel, people learn that "Finding Dory" follows an amnestic Dory whose childhood memories suddenly come rushing back. Her unusual instinct seems to be a sign for her to go home. While Marlin thinks going all the way to Monterey is a bad idea, Dory insists to go on a journey in order to carry out familial responsibility.
The movie sees the return of Ellen DeGeneres as the titular character, Albert Brooks as Marlin and Willem Dafoe as Gill, a moorish idol. "Finding Dory" will open in U.S. theaters on June 17, 2016.
