Selena Gomez opened up about rumors saying that Zayn Malik started flirting with her by following her Twitter account. In an interview with BBC Radio 1, the "Good For You" singer admitted that she wasn't even aware that the former member of One Direction followed her until someone asked her about that.
"I had no idea what that was until somebody else asked me, and obviously I know Zayn, though, so it's not like a weird thing," Selena said. "I just didn't know who followed me. I just didn't check anything." Though she didn't seem to show her interest in him, she said, "Thanks for the follow, Zayn!"
When Selena was asked if she followed him back, she admitted she didn't but planned to do it soon. "I did.. I? I don't know. I don't think I did but I will right now," said the 23-year-old singer.
Zayn who is currently single after calling off his engagement to Perrie Edwards has recently followed a number of celebrities on Twitter including Tyler, the Creator, Anna Kendrick and Khloe Kardashian. His split from Perrie has apparently gone bitter as her bandmate Jade Thirlwall was recently spotted holding a sign which read, "Zayn is irrelevant, anyway!"
