Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the lead character would be at the age of 20 in the second installment of 'Star Wars' anthology movie series.

AceShowbiz - Ever since the untitled stand-alone Star Wars film II was announced to feature the origin story of Han Solo, many wondered when the movie would exactly take place. A recent article from EW revealed how old Han Solo would be in the upcoming anthology movie.

The site recently had an opportunity to conduct an interview with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy in which she provided information about the development of the Han Solo movie. The conversation shed some light on the possible age of the lead character when the story begins.

"He'll definitely be probably in the high teens, low 20s. We're not introducing you to a 10-year-old Han Solo," she revealed. Based on what Kathleen said, it can be concluded that the film will be set 15 years before "Star Wars: A New Hope". The prediction emerged because Harrison was 35 years old when he played Han Solo for the first time in the 1977 "Star Wars" film.

Sources say that the film is currently in early stage of development and not even close to the part of finding a star. Technically, the new film marks the second Han Solo casting from director Phil Lord and Chris Miller. It is not impossible if the actor chosen to portray the young Han Solo will be a total newcomer who hasn't been seen in anything yet.

Having the script written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan, the story focuses on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel. The second installment of "Star Wars" anthology series will open in U.S. theaters on May 25, 2018.
