Perez Hilton may have puzzled some people with his decision to announce an anti-Kardashian week. The blogger which has been profiting off the family by publishing numerous articles, factual and false ones, about the Kardashian-Jenner clan recently declared that he would launch a "Kardashian Kleanse" beginning from August 17 until 21.
"Do U ever feel like there's just TOO MUCH Kardashian news out there?????" Hilton wrote in his announcement. "Well if so, then you're in luck, because PerezHilton.com will not be posting a single story about the Keeping Up With The Kardashians family for an entire week!!!" He later explained, "While we adore the Kardashians for many reasons, we still think detoxes are healthy and necessary!"
In place of stories about Kim Kardashian and/or her equally famous siblings and parents, Hilton declared his site would "be highlighting DAILY inspiring stories about amazing women from all around the world!" in the said period.
Hilton's move is deemed illogical by another site, Gossip Cop, which "believes this is both hypocritical and self-serving." The TV personality is also accused of "trying to garner attention for himself" and creating "a publicity stunt."
