The 'Empire' actor accused Michelle Ghent of extortion and blackmail after he agreed to their 2012 divorce settlements.

AceShowbiz - Terrence Howard and ex-wife Michelle Ghent's divorce turns from bad to worse. The actor's attorney appeared at a hearing court on Tuesday, August 11 to play a recorded audio of Ghent threatening to leak a naked video of him.

Howard agreed to a divorce settlement with Ghent in 2012 and was trying to overturn the agreement on Tuesday. He claimed extortion and ordered his attorney Brian Kramer to play an audio at the hearing. Taken from Ghent's 2011 phone conversation with Howard, the tape had her saying, "I will (expletive) bury you deep within the ground."

Ghent said she had a video of Howard singing naked in the bathroom and she could get $2 million for it. She additionally accused him of cheating on her and told him that she called the IRS to investigate improper deductions. Ghent also told Howard's sister-in-law Yvonne that she took one of his cellphones containing a video of him having sex with another woman.

Howard was later heard in the audio telling Ghent, "I'll drain everything I got to take care of it." At the hearing, Howard called his former business manager Charles McBride to testify about the $40,000 wire transfer to shut down Ghent's threat. The actor was pleading the judge to overturn the divorce settlement based on the statements and was expected to testify during the proceeding.

During a deposition, Ghent's lawyers denied the allegations. Judge Thomas Trent Lewis ruled that Ghent's testimony will be limited because she did not file certain pleadings before the hearing. She had accused Howard of domestic violence and said she was owed money under the 2012 settlement.

Howard and Ghent were only married a year before she filed for divorce in 2011.
