A representative for the former singer of The Pussycat Dolls clarifies to British tabloid The Sun that there has been nothing romantic between Scherzinger and Sheeran.

Nicole Scherzinger is not dating Ed Sheeran despite a report published by British tabloid The Sun saying that they have been secretly dating in recent months. Scherzinger's spokesperson set the record straight on the rumors by telling the publication that there has been nothing romantic between the two singers.
A representative for Sheeran had earlier denied the rumors. Both Scherzinger and Sheeran were said keeping their relationship platonic. The two are only close friends to each other though they were often seen hanging out together or even showing sweet gestures to each other.
Earlier this year, news broke that Scherzinger broke up with Lewis Hamilton whom she dated on-and-off since 2007. The former singer of The Pussycat Dolls reportedly dumped Hamilton because he refused to get married and start a family. Though both of them never addressed their breakup report, the Formula One racing driver once told E! News that he felt "pressured" by the family members who encouraged them to get married. "But Nicole's massively focused on her work the same as I am," he said. "We're happy just the way we are."
On the other hand, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer was previously rumored dating Ellie Goulding. However, the "Love Me Like You Do" singer denied the report in an interview with Elle U.K. "I was never in a relationship with Ed," she told the magazine about the rumors. "I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing."
