Iggy Azalea didn't expect any romance when she first met her now-fiance Nick Young whom she is going to marry soon. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, the 25-year-old rapper admitted that she "hated him" the first time they met.

Eight months since they started dating, Iggy realized that they'd met before. "[We'd met] a few years prior to that, and I didn't know and I hated him," she confessed. Worse than that, the Australia-born rapper said, "I thought he was an a***hole."

However, things changed when a mutual friend told Iggy that Nick had a crush on her. "One of my guy friends actually brought it to my attention," she said. "He's friends with Nick also, and he was like, 'Oh, did you see my boy Nick has a crush on you?' I was like: 'Oh, O.K., he's kind of cute.' "

It was that friend who encouraged Iggy to date the basketball player. "He was really pushing the issue. He was like, 'You've got to go on a date with him! He's a great guy!' " she explained. "I thought he was pretty handsome, so I went on a date with him."

A few years later, they began dating. "So it worked out! Lucky I didn't remember him, because we wouldn't have got the opportunity for a second chance," Iggy joked. After nearly two years of dating, the Los Angeles Lakers player proposed to her at his 30th birthday celebration. Regarding their wedding, Iggy previously said, "I do want a pretty traditional style wedding."
