The 'Glee' star celebrated the upcoming arrival of her first child with Ryan Dorsey surrounded by close friends and family.

Naya Rivera, who is in her third semester, celebrated the upcoming arrival of her first baby with Ryan Dorsey on Saturday, August 1. Naya and Ryan were surrounded by close friends and family including her "Glee" co-stars Amber Riley and Heather Morris.
Naya chose children's book theme for the celebration. In a photo posted on Instagram on August 5, the 28-year-old actress and her husband were seen posing in front of a large cake decorated in a children's book "Love You Forever" shape. Naya wore a black-and-white printed long dress while Ryan donned a cream blazer, white shirt and black pants.
She captioned it, "We were blown away by how beautiful our cake for the baby shower was! @hansencakes turned my favorite childhood book into a sweet treat!"
In another photo, Naya flaunted her baby bump alongside her pregnant friend. "So many of my friends are pregnant right now! But being preggo with this one is the best. @taylorjacobsonn #bffsinutero #momcrew," she wrote alongside the snap.
In a blogpost posted on PEOPLE, Naya opened up about her third semester. "Being in my third trimester means hard work is ahead and every day a new body part aches or seemingly falls apart. But it also comes with its share of really fun and exciting things too," she wrote.
Naya said she became "the master of almost any DIY project" during her first pregnancy. "I could be seen carrying almost everything we own out to the street to be thrown away. I needed less clutter and an entirely new decorating scheme, STAT," she shared.
About her baby shower, Naya said she was inspired by her best friends. " 'I want to have someone hand deliver the invitation as a message in a bottle - get it?!' We would make lists of who we would invite, and things we would veto. 'How do we feel about the game where everyone eats s**t (candy) out of a diaper?' Of course times change and I didn't stick to any of my childhood plans, but instead enlisted the help of a fabulous party planner, Sharon Sacks, and together we planned the most perfect day to celebrate baby Dorsey," she explained.
