'He's trying to get his life together and that includes getting his family back. He's hoping he and Kourtney can put this behind them,' says a source of the 32-year-old TV personality.

AceShowbiz - Scott Disick apparently realizes that he is in need of his family a month after splitting from his longtime girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian. According to E! News, the 32-year-old TV personality wants to get back together with his family.

A source close to Scott told the website that Scott "knows he screwed up." However, "he's trying to get his life together and that includes getting his family back. He's hoping he and Kourtney can put this behind them. He knows it won't be easy. At the very least, he wants to be friends again," the source added.

Scott realized that he needed some time to prove himself to Kourtney that he can be somone to rely on. "He knows he has to prove himself to Kourtney," the source continued. "He needs to show her he can be an adult. That's all she wants. She knows he likes to party, but she wants an adult who will be there for her and the family every day."

Regarding their kids, "Scott is adamant that his kids will not grow up without a father. He wants to be there for them." The source said that he recently paid a visit quite regularly to his kids. Meanwhile, some friends hoped he would clean up his act but, "it's still too early to tell. It's Scott - he could wig out at any minute. It's a wait-and-see situation."

Previously, there were reports claiming that Scott's ex, Chloe Bartoli, called Kourtney to reassure that nothing happened between her and Scott. A source close to Chloe said, "Chloe would do it if Scott asked her to and it would help smooth things out between him and Kourtney." It is plausible because "Chloe and Scott have been friends a long time, before he ever met Kourtney," the insider added. "Chloe has always insisted nothing happened between her and Scott."
