Halle Berry is not divorcing Olivier Martinez. She just lost her engagement ring. TMZ broke the news that the actress lost her gem somewhere in Mexico a year-and-a-half ago, which was why she has been spotted without her engagement ring in recent months. It was the fact that then prompted the false divorce rumors.
Berry, according to sources, was at the Acapulco International Film Festival in January 2014, where she received the Silver Jaguar Award. She said the ring either fell off her hand or she left it on a table and then someone took it. When being asked why either she or Martinez hadn't replaced it, the movie beauty reportedly said "it just wasn't a priority."
Berry and Martinez, who have been married since July 2013, were reported to be heading for divorce. Radar Online was the first to come up with the divorce report, claiming Berry and Martinez were "ready to give up on their relationship," and a divorce "filing could come as soon as today." However, sources have confirmed to TMZ that "there's been no discussion about divorce with an attorney."
