"Bachelor in Paradise" returned on Monday, August 3 after the season 2 premiere on Sunday. Following the emergency situation at the end of last episode, Ashley S. was shown returning to Playa Escondida after taken to a local hospital. It's unclear why she needed medical care, but Dan who accompanied her to the hospital said, "Ashley hadn't been feeling well day." He added, "I definitely didn't think my first date in paradise would be in an emergency room, but I'm glad it was."

Upon returning from the EW, Ashley S. got a date card and gave it to Dan. They had a romantic candlelit dinner, danced and kissed. "I like that in a short period of time she kind of gets me, and I get her," Dan said, "If I had a rose tonight, right now, I'd give it to Ashley, no question." It appeared that the feeling was mutual as Ashley S. said, "I don't know if he makes me feel like a woman or a child, but I like it!"

Meanwhile, Clare who arrived the last couldn't choose whom she should go on a date with because they guys she liked were already claimed. Mikey pitched himself as declaring, "I've always had a schoolboy crush on you." Although Clare was not interested in him, she agreed to have a date with Mikey.

They learnt tantric yoga on their date, and Clare was worried how it would end up. "Tantric yoga on a first date? I don't know if that's what I'm looking to do," she said to the camera. Mikey, on the other hand, thought "it was a turn on. It was steamy. I felt everything. Everything feels good on Clare."

He went on gushing about their date, "My favorite position was Downward Clare. Hopefully one day I'll get to experience that firsthand." Later when they went for a swim after the yoga session, Mikey tried to kiss Clare, but she rejected it. "I really am coming in here open to the show and stuff like that but I really don't want it to be more than what it is right now for me," she said.

Tenley, meanwhile, lamented that everyone else already seemed to be paired off. Mikey convinced her to take Jared for a walk and Ashley I. went livid when she knew about it. She interrupted Jared and Tenley on their walk and talked with Jared to "solidify" their relationship. Jared calmed her down, saying, "I mean, the thing is, you never know what's going to happen. And that's what I'm trying to set my mind to right now, and just take it slow, take it easy and just see what the hell happens."

At a cocktail party before the rose ceremony, Clare and Jared had a talk and she told him that although she knew she would get a rose from Mikey, she's not interested in him and that she actually liked Jared. Jared promised her that if Clare didn't have a rose by the time his name was called, he would give his rose to her.

At the rose ceremony, Mikey did give his rose to Clare, and Jared gave his rose to Ashley I. Kirk chose Carly, Dan gave his rose to Ashley S., Jonathan picked Juelia, and J.J. picked Tenley, so Jillian was sent home. Lauren is safe because she came as a package with her sister Ashley I.
