Foo Fighters is definitely visiting Cesena, Italy after a video of 1,000 musicians teaming up to cover the band's "Learn to Fly" went viral. After praising the performance shortly after the clip arrived a few days ago, frontman Dave Grohl shared over the weekend a video of him telling people in the city that he and his bandmates would come and perform there "soon."

"Hello, Cesena. It's David," Grohl said in Italian. "Hi. I am sorry I don't speak Italian, just a bit, a bit." The rocker went on to praise the cover again, "This video was good! Super nice. Thank you so much. We're coming, I swear. We'll see each other soon. Thank you so much. I love you. Ciao."

1,000 musicians consisting of 350 guitarists, 250 singers, 250 drummers and 150 bassists united to cover Foo Fighters' 1999 hit "Learn to Fly" as they tried to convince the band to come to Cesena. The campaign was put together by Fabio Zaffagnini, who started working on it in May 2014.

"Italy's a country where dreams cannot easily come true, but it's a land of passion and creativity," Zaffagnini said of the project. "What we did here is just a huge, huge miracle... Our call is to ask you, the Foo Fighters, to come and play for us, to come and play in here, to give a concert to all of us in Cesena."

There's still no word on when the Cesena gig will happen. Grohl and Co. are visiting Italy for a couple of tour dates at Casalecchio Di Reno's Unipol Arena on November 13 and Turin's Palaolimpico Torino on November 14. Cesena is only an hour away from Casalecchio Di Reno.
