A man named Fabio Zaffagnini spent a year organizing the campaign, called 'Rockin' 1000', to convince Dave Grohl and his band to play a concert in Cesena, Italy.

These people from Cesena, Italy really, really want to see Foo Fighters performing live. Around 1,000 musicians recently gathered in a field and teamed up to cover the band's 1999 hit "Learn to Fly" as they tried to convince Dave Grohl and Co. to come and perform in the city.
The campaign dubbed "Rockin' 1000" was organized by a man named Fabio Zaffagnini, who spent a year trying to unite 1,000 singers, guitarists, drummers and bassists for the performance. "Italy is a country where dreams cannot easily come true but it's a land of passion and creativity," he said.
Foo Fighters has learned of the musicians' cover and responded to it by posting a video of the performance on their Twitter account. "Che bello (how beautiful), Cesena," they wrote in the caption.
However, it's still unknown if they're going to make a visit to Cesena in the future. They're flying to Italy later this year to perform in Casalecchio Di Reno on November 13.
