Miley Cyrus has added Linda Perry to the list of collaborators for whatever it is she's currently working on. The former Disney star was recently pictured hitting the studio with the 50-year-old rock singer/songwriter who has previously crafted hits for the likes of Christina Aguilera, Pink and Celine Dion.
The photo of Cyrus and Perry was shared on Instagram by producer Kerry Brown who's also featured in the snap. "What a great day blowing up headphones with @reallindaperry and @mileycyrus," Brown, who has worked with Smashing Pumpkins and Jessica Simpson among others in the past, wrote in the caption.
Cyrus has been reported working on a new solo album and a collaborative set with The Flaming Lips. A few weeks ago, she apparently teased the latter project when she posted on Instagram a series of topless photos including one showing her posing with the band's frontman Wayne Coyne's girlfriend Katy Weaver.
In other Cyrus-related news, Kelly Clarkson covered the 22-year-old star's hit single "Wrecking Ball" when she brought her "Piece by Piece" tour to Indianapolis on Thursday, July 30. The "American Idol" alum's version has higher notes than the original, but she flawlessly nailed it.
