Fans can expect something big from Zayn Malik when he launches his solo career. According to Billboard, the former One Direction singer has just signed with management company Turn First Artists, which is the home to the likes of Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora.
Zayn will be managed by the company's Sarah Stennett, the same person responsible for Iggy Azalea's career. The 22-year-old heartthrob, who's previously signed to Modest! Management as a member of 1D, has yet to respond to the news.
Since departing One Direction earlier this year, Zayn has been rumored to be working on his solo music. Earlier this month, rumors emerged claiming he was dropped from Simon Cowell's Syco record label. The reports were later confirmed by the former "American Idol" judge himself.
"Luckily within Sony there are a lot of labels who are really good. I had a feeling there was one particular label who would love to have him and they did," he said. "It enables them to treat him as a priority and us to carry on with what we're doing with the boys. It also means no one has any nerves about whether we're working harder on them or him."
Last week, Zayn helped celebrate One Direction's 5th anniversary by retweeting former bandmate Liam Payne's post that read, "Wowwwww 5 years 5 boys what an amazing journey I couldn't thank you all ever enough and thank you Louis Niall Harry and zayn for everything."
