Tom Cruise went up against Jimmy Fallon in a Lip Sync Battle when he stopped by "The Tonight Show" on Monday, July 27. The "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" actor took the mic first, doing his version of The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face". Fallon already felt at a loss after Cruise completed the song. "Why am I even trying... This is going to be hard to beat," he said.

Next was Fallon's turn. The comedian lip synced The Rolling Stones' "Undercover of the Night", mimicking Mick Jagger's signature dance moves. The show's house band The Roots then played a few bars of "Old Time Rock & Roll" to give Cruise a chance to reenact his scene in "Risky Business", but he decided not to do it. "That wouldn't be fair, would it?" he said.

Instead, Cruise took off his jacket to begin his cover of Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light". He went all out during the performance, getting down on his knees and fake shouting to the camera.

Fallon followed it up with a lip-sync version of The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" which Cruise sang to woo Kelly McGillis' character in "Top Gun". The host asked Cruise to join him and the two serenaded a woman in the audience. The woman couldn't stop giggling as Cruise held her hand and Fallon touched her head during the performance.

Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" which will open in theaters nationwide on July 31. He and co-stars Jeremy Renner and Alec Baldwin attended the movie premiere in New York on Monday night.
