AceShowbiz - Even before his superhero film "Ant-Man" hits U.S. theaters, Paul Rudd has been honored with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 46-year-old actor received on Wenesday, July 1, the 2,554th star on the mile-long strip of plaques on Hollywood Boulevard.
During his acceptance speech, Rudd recalled the time he passed by the boulevard as a child. "I remember being a kid and walking this boulevard and reading the names and thinking about what so many other millions of people thought about, which is, you know, who's that?" the actor said.
However, the father of two admitted that the honor of receiving the star plaque was unbelievable. "The fact that millions of people are going to be able to now see me and ask that same question, for time immemorial, is humbling beyond belief," he continued.
Before playing in the superhero film, Rudd was famously known for his roles in a number of comedy films, including "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" (2005), "Knocked Up" (2007), "I Love You, Man" (2009) and "This Is 40" (2012). His upcoming Marvel film "Ant-Man" will be released on July 17 in the U.S. It tells a story about a thief who gets a special suit which gives him the ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength. Besides Rudd, the cast members include Corey Stoll, Michael Douglas, Bobby Cannavale and Evangeline Lilly.
