AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey is romancing Australian billionaire James Packer, TMZ reports. Mariah and James were photographed strolling the street in Capri, Italy hand-in-hand on Friday, June 19. According to the site, the pair are staying on James' yacht and will have "an extended vacation" to Cannes and St. Tropez.
Mariah and James could be seen smiling widely while walking side-by-side. The "We Belong Together" singer wore a plunging orange striped dress paired with a long black cardigan. She completed her look with sunglasses and black sandals. James, meanwhile, donned aviator sunglasses, a short-sleeved shirt, long pants and black shoes.
It was Mariah's best friend Brett Ratner who reportedly played matchmaker for her and James. Brett co-runs RatPac Entertainment with James. Sources close to the "Infinity" songstress tell the site that James "has been aggressively pursuing Mariah for months and he succeeded."
Mariah previously sparked dating rumors with Brett as they were preparing for their birthday back in March. At that time, the duo reportedly jetted off to St. Barts on James' private jet and stayed together on a luxury yacht. They were later spotted walking arm-in-arm with another female friend while shopping at St. Barts.
Brett addressed the rumor in late April, saying, "We're great friends. I'm directing her video. I've been friends with her for 20 years. It makes me laugh actually. It cracks me up. We're great friends. She's awesome and she's amazing."
