Kim Kardashian, Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Lopez stole the spotlight at the 2015 Met Gala as they showed lots of skin at the charity event. However, designer Carolina Herrera opened up in an interview with the Washington Post that she was disappointed with their fashion choices as they were almost naked.

"It's so modern to be naked or almost naked. They think it's going to attract younger people if they do those dresses. No!" said the 76-year-old designer who was troubled with the idea that modern is in line with revealing more. During the Met Gala, Kim wore a white see-through dress with feathers trailing from her bottom to the floor. Beyonce was in a see-through jeweled dress while J.Lo opted for a dragon-embellished dress which showed her bare butt. "Oh God! They're trying to get people to pay attention to them. In life, there should be a little mystery," the designer added.

Caroline was bewildered by the celebrities' style. "They're supposed to be fashion icons and they're not wearing anything," she continued. "It's an obsession now."

Although she criticized the over-revealing dresses the celebrities wore, she was actually fine if a client asked her to create plunging necklace in her design. However, she said that designing a revealing dress required precision and proportion. "If it's open so much, they look like fried eggs. Fashion is about proportion," she continued.
