Britney Spears is ready to kick off the summer with a brand new hairstyle. The "Toxic" hitmaker took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 10 to show off her new bob haircut. "My new haircut," she wrote alongside a selfie taken in a dimly lit room.
The "... Baby One More Time" singer later shared a much lighter picture taken at her garage. In the snap, she posed between two white cars wearing a black peplum top and romper paired with black wedges. She sported above-the-shoulder hair with few bangs flowing past her eyes. She captioned it, "It's a little black romper kind of day."
Britney is currently on a break from her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The "Pretty Girls" singer performed her final "Piece of Me" show back in May and is scheduled to return to the stage in early August.
In a recent interview with Australia's "Dan & Maz Show" on 2DayFM, Britney revealed she listened to Mariah Carey's "#1 to Infinity" album while painting without any top on. When asked whether she'd been hanging out with the "Heartbreaker" songstress who's also in Las Vegas for her own residency, Britney said, "Our paths just haven't crossed."
"I love Mariah Carey. Still to this day. I was painting in my room. I have an art room, and I just paint on the walls and do all this kind of crazy stuff. I bought her new greatest hits, and her new Infinity record yesterday, and I was just in there with my top off, just like painting and doing all this artsy fartsy stuff," the 33-year-old singer added, "I love her. I just love her voice."
