Surgeons who helped Caitlyn Jenner with her physical transformation said on Tuesday, June 9, that they were thrilled about the results. The surgeons, Dr. Gary J. Alter and Dr. Harrison H. Lee, were grateful that everything went well.

Dr. Alter told New York Daily News, "She's extremely happy with the results, and we are too." He commented on her debut on Vanity Fair's cover, "I thought she looked absolutely beautiful." The doctor explained that he was the one who performed "some body work" while Dr. Lee performed the facial feminization in Beverly Hills on March 15. "We knew it would be a long procedure and everything was planned ahead of time, and we're very fortunate that everything has gone very well," he added. However, Dr. Alter refused to give details of the procedure Jenner underwent.

On the other hand, Dr. Lee only gave general information about what facial feminization and body work might include. He said that transgender facial feminization involved both soft and bony tissues and could include raising the eyebrows, a nose job, altering the bony structure of the face and increasing lip size while body work could include breast implants, liposuction and fat injections or implants in the buttocks.

Dr. Lee admitted that it was really "stressful" considering the global attention to his patient. "I entered [the surgery room] with some trepidation of course. I figured it was gonna be very challenging because of her celebrity status and the fact that she's going to finally expose herself for [who] she is, and it'll be one of the most judged faces on the planet," he said.

Regarding follow-up appointments to check on her results, Dr. Alter said that it was "up to her." He also said that there was possibility if she wanted to have more work done.

On another occasion on the same day, Jenner became the subject of a discussion on SheKnows' Hatch program. The program showed a number of kids reacting to pictures of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star when she was an Olympic athlete and post-physical transformation. At first, they gave comments to each picture. To the picture of Jenner as Olympic athlete, they said that the guy on the picture was "running" and had "really strong arms." When they were asked to describe the picture of Jenner in red dress on a sports car, they said she looked "calm," "confident" and "happy."

They were then asked, "What would happen if I told you that they're the same person?" They were surprised at first. Later on, the children were shown some positive and negative comments on Twitter after the 65-year-old former athlete's debut on Vanity Fair's cover. Interestingly, they tended to accept the transformation Jenner had gone through. "I think they're just scared of change," said one boy. "And I think they just want everything to stay the same because they just don't know how to handle it."

On a final note, the boy said, "It's important to be yourself because if you're not yourself, then who are you?"
