Although her role is still undisclosed, Billie Catherine Lourd reveals that she will not play Princess Leia's daughter in the upcoming film.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Catherine Lourd is making her acting debut on the big and small screen this year. Speaking to Interview magazine, she reveals that she will appear in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in a small role, not in a role people predicted before.
Since her mother played the original Princess Leia from "Star Wars", there have been many speculations that Lourd will play Leia's daughter in the upcoming film. Lourd later addresses this rumor and says, "I'm not Princess Leia's daughter." Lourd makes it clear that she will not appear in the movie as Leia's daughter although she doesn't mention a particular character she would play.
However, there are bigger rumors which said that Lourd could play Leia in a flashback. This rumor emerged because the story in the upcoming movie will take place three decades after "Return of the Jedi" and there will definitely be a new generation of characters introduced. However, there is no confirmation about this rumor as of now.
Lourd explains that "The Force Awakens" is her first movie. "This is the first job I've ever had - right into the fire," she says. Besides making an acting debut on big screen, Lourd will appear in Ryan Murphy's "Scream Queens" this September.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will arrive in U.S. theaters on December 18. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Fisher reprise their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively.
