In an interview with InStyle magazine, the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star reveals that her Italian artist husband took her last name after they secretly got married two years ago.

Zoe Saldana's husband Marco Perego adopted her last name after they secretly got married two years ago. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actress made the revelation in the July issue of InStyle magazine which featured her on the cover.
Speaking to the publication, she said that she initially rejected her Italian artist hubby's decision to become Marco Saldana. "I tried to talk him out of it. I told him, 'If you use my name, you're going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world,' " she recalled.
"But Marco looks up at me and says [she puts on a cute Italian accent], 'Ah, Zoe, I don't give a s**t,' " she added.
Saldana and Perego tied the knot in the summer of 2013. The couple welcomed twin boys Cy and Bowie back in November 2014.
In the interview with InStyle, the 36-year-old entertainer also gushed over her husband. "Since I've been with Marco, I've been lowering my guard," she shared. "Finally when we had our boys, I looked at my husband and I realized: I was meant for you and you were meant for me. I've always felt comfortable around men as long as they were friends. Now I finally feel comfortable with my lover. I don't want to be separate. I want my church. I want to live inside the religion of our own little family."
