The outspoken producer says that rumors about Zedd's relationship with Gomez were his label's idea to help boost the sales of his newest album 'True Colors'.

AceShowbiz - Diplo isn't done taking shots at fellow EDM star Zedd. After giving the German/Russian DJ's new album "True Colors" a negative review by comparing it to "a pile of poop," the outspoken producer said in a new interview that Zedd's relationship with Selena Gomez which everyone talked about earlier this year was "fake."

Diplo, who has feuded with everyone from Azealia Banks to Taylor Swift, made the claim while he was supposed to be clarifying his beef with Zedd. "I'm actually not enemies with Zedd by any means," he told Radio.com before saying that rumors suggesting that the "Clarity" hitmaker and Gomez were an item were made up to help boost the sales of his record.

"I just think that he came from such a cool place, and now he's been pegged as a money-maker for a major label to do EDM, which to me isn't even a genre. But they've pegged him for that, they've marketed him, even the fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music," he explained.

While he's not a fan of Zedd's recent music, Diplo admitted the 25-year-old DJ was "an amazing producer and good songwriter." He added, "He's got a really loud space right now in this culture, there are a lot of people paying attention to him, he can do this awesome music, and to just come out with something so flat and expected and easy for people... You only live once, you know what I'm saying?"
