The 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' actress is one of the women to watch with her company hitting $1 billion valuation this year.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Alba graces the cover of Forbes' "America's Richest Self-Made Women" as her Honest company hits $1 billion valuation. The actress is beaming on the mag's front page, looking confident with her arms crossed as she wears a white dress and black blazer.
It's her allergic reaction to a baby detergent that inspired her to make eco-friendly products. "I was like, 'How can this be safe for babies if I'm having this type of reaction?' " the mother of two says. "I felt like my needs weren't being met as a modern person."
"I want beautiful design like everybody else. But it shouldn't be premium-priced, and it should, of course, be safe," she continues. "I kind of want them to be cute, and the natural diapers: Why do they have to look like your baby�s wearing a brown bag?"
Speaking at the Alibaba Global Conference on Women and Entrepreneurship in Hangzhou, China earlier this month, she opened up on the obstacles she faced when she first entered the business. "[People] usually thought of someone in my position as more of a spokesperson, someone that would sell beauty products," she said. "Most of my advisors in entertainment thought I should do a perfume or something like that."
Thanks to the company she founded in 2012, she is estimated to be worth $200 million. The "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" actress is one of eight "women to watch," joining Taylor Swift and Sandra Bullock. She is applauded by Rachel Zoe on Twitter.
