Contrary to circulating rumors, Tom Cruise is not dating Paula Patton. National Enquirer previously reported that the "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" actor and his co-star were on a number of "secret dates."

A so-called "insider" told the tabloid of Tom and Paula, "When they worked on the movie ('Ghost Protocol'), they had a genuine connection, but neither was available... Now that they're both single, it's totally on!" The outlet alleged that the 52-year-old actor and the 39-year-old actress both realized "they're good together."

The alleged "insider" added, "It's still super fresh, but Paula seems open to exploring a future with Tom... She's been looking for a guy she can trust after ex-hubby Robin Thicke cheated on her."

Gossip Cop was quick to come up with a denial to the rumor though. The site cited its own source close to the "War of the Worlds" actor as claiming that the story was "bulls**t".

National Enquirer previously also made false report about Tom's paternity, claiming that he's not Suri's biological father and that Katie Holmes was "impregnated" with Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. A source told Gossip Cop that the rumor was untrue, adding, "Tom is Suri's real dad."
