The latest projects to get series orders are "The Frankenstein Code", an adaptation of "Minority Report" and "Lucifer".

"Frankenstein Code", which re-imagines Mary Shelley's classic monster tale, is from Rand Ravich ("Crisis") and Howard Gordon ("Homeland"). It stars Robert Kazinsky as "a morally corrupt retired cop, (who) is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Now younger and stronger, Pritchard will have to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose." Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Tim DeKay and Ciara Bravo join him in the cast.

The "Minority Report" series picks up "10 years after the end of Pre-crime in D.C. "Lucifer", adapted from DC Comics book, centers on the title character (Tom Ellis) who is described as "bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell. ... Lucifer resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the L.A.P.D. punish criminals." Jerry Bruckheimer executive produces the drama, which also stars Lauren German, Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Nicholas Gonzalez and Scarlett Estevez.

Meanwhile, "Backstrom" has joined the chopping-block list which already included "The Following". The dramedy starring "The Office" alum Rainn Wilson is axed after averaging a 1.5 rating in the key demo and 5.6 million viewers in its freshman run. The star reacted to the cancellation with a tweet featuring surprised and sad emojis.
