HBO is adding a special dose of Amy Schumer. The actress/comedienne is set to tape her first comedy special for the network on May 29 at Harlem's Apollo Theater. It will be directed by fellow comedian Chris Rock and will air later this year.

"Amy is one of the most inspired comics working today, and we hope her first HBO special marks the start of a long and beautiful relationship," said Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming. "This event is even more special because our good friend, the incredibly talented Chris Rock, is directing."

Amy Schumer is currently soaring with her Comedy Central sketch show "Inside Amy Schumer". She recently hosted MTV Movie Awards and will next be seen on the big screen in Judd Apatow's "Trainwreck" which is supported by Tilda Swinton, Bill Hader, and Ezra Miller among others.
