5 Seconds of Summer dropped a huge surprise at the first show on their tour. The Aussie band kicked off their "Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour" in Lisbon, Portugal on Monday, May 4 and treated the crowd to a live performance of a brand-new song called "Permanent Vacation".

The summery up-tempo pop/punk number sounds like a Green Day song. Guitarist/vocalist Michael Clifford first taught the audience to sing the "nah-nah-nah" before opening the track, "Can't sleep cause my mind keeps racing/ My chest hurts because my heart keeps breaking, not really/ I'm so numb that I can't stop shaking and we all fall down."

He then joined forces withe the other 5SOS members for the catchy and earworm-y chorus, "Frustration, desperation/ You say you need some counter medication/ Situation, no motivation/ Destination/ What you need is a permanent vacation."

There's still no word if "Permanent Vacation" would lead to a new 5SOS album. The four-piece dropped their self-titled debut set last June and followed it up with a live album called "LiveSOS" in December.
