"Mean Moms" has just got a director as New Line Cinema tapped Sean Anders to direct the film, Deadline reports. The movie centers on a happily married mother of two who moves from small-town America to the high-class suburbs and suddenly must confront the cutthroat world of competitive parenting.

It was earlier last year that Jennifer Aniston landed a leading role in the movie. Aniston will reunite with director Anders who previously directed her in "Horrible Bosses 2". Besides directing, Anders will write the script for "Mean Moms" alongside John Morris.

The project has been in development since 2010 with Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Jill Messick producing the movie. "Mean Moms" and "Mean Girls" are both adapted from advice books for parents written by Rosalind Wiseman. "Mean Girls" is adapted from the book entitled "Queen Bees and Wannabes", while "Mean Moms" is adapted from "Queen Bee Moms and Kingpin Dads: Dealing With the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make - or Break - Your Child's Future". Both movies have some similarities that lead people to call "Mean Moms" as "Mean Girls" for older people.

Anders and Morris also worked together on "We're the Millers", "Dumb and Dumber To" and "Hot Tub Time Machine 2".
