Several details have emerged on Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder's recent wedding which was staged in Topanga, California. A friend of the celebrity couple told Us Weekly that initially each of the stars had quite different ideas of how their nuptials should be like. "Nikki originally wanted a small wedding," so said the source, whereas "Ian envisioned a big wedding. She was happy to let him call the shots."

After all, Nikki and Ian agreed to hold a private wedding at the Tuscali Mountain Inn on April 26 with several celebrity friends attending. Spotted among the guests were the likes of Katerina Graham, Paul Wesley, Matthew Davis, and Phoebe Tonkin, all of whom were treated to a dinner at long tables adorned with white blooms. The guests then danced to a band.

The bride, who wore a custom couture Claire Pettibone gown, looked like she was having a blast as she posed for photos with her groom on a hillside. Widely known as animal lovers, the newlyweds asked guests to make donation to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation for rescued animals in lieu of gifts.

Following the nuptials, Nikki, 26, and Ian, 36, are planning for a honeymoon. "Both of their schedules are pretty clear for a while," a source was quoted by Us Weekly as saying. "They're planning an extravagant trip around the world!"
