Suri Cruise turned 9 years old over the weekend and her actress mother Katie Holmes spoiled her with a cupcake-filled birthday bash. The party was held on Saturday, April 18 at the Gilded Lily in New York City with friends and family, including Katie's parents and Suri's grandparents, attending.
According to a source, Katie arrived at the venue early to help set the things up. "Katie got an assortment of vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet cupcakes decorated in pink and purple from Georgetown Cupcake SoHo," claimed the source, adding that "Dozens and dozens of cupcakes were placed on cupcake towers for the celebration!" The particular cupcakes are Suri's favorite.
Additionally, guests were treated to burgers, fries, and chicken fingers. Besides, Katie "brought a DJ in for Suri" and the birthday girl danced along with her guests. "It was a small affair, nothing overboard, but Suri had a great time," so revealed the source.
And later that day, Katie posted on Instagram a photo of herself chowing down one of the cupcakes. "This cupcake tower is going down," she captioned the shot.
