The actor who will reprise his role as Derek Zoolander in the 'Zoolander' sequel announced Cruz's involvement on Instagram.

AceShowbiz - Ben Stiller took to Instagram on Friday, April 17 to announce that Penelope Cruz joined the cast of the long-awaited sequel, "Zoolander 2". The 49-year-old actor posted a photo of little Cruz and captioned it, "Excited to announce Penelope 'Little Penny' Cruz has joined #Zoolander2 cast! #fbf."
The brunette beauty will star in the film alongside returning stars Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell, as well as new addition Kristen Wiig. Stiller will direct the film and co-wrote the script with Justin Theroux.
Stiller revealed that the beginnning of the movie would be a flashback of the previous movie to remind the audience about the story since it's 14 years apart from the first movie "%Zoolander%". "In the fashion world, if you go away for a year, it's changed - it just happens so quickly," he said. "I think the idea in the beginning of the movie is that its 10 years later, and Derek and Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody remembers who they are, so they have to reinvent themselves."
