It turns out the rumors are true. Nicki Minaj is engaged to boyfriend Meek Mill. After teasing engagement news on Instagram and Twitter, the 32-year-old rapper finally confirmed her engagement to the 27-year-old hip hop artist by posting a photo of her engagement ring on Instagram.
Giving no single clue on when and where her engagement took place, Minaj showed off a huge heart-shaped ring on that finger. According to Morgan Shara of MASbisjoux jewelry as quoted by E! News, the gem "looks like a 15-carat fancy yellow heart modified brilliant cut diamond mounted in platinum with a double halo of white pave diamonds" and "would retail for approximately $500,000..." Still according to Shara, the ring "looks like the natural fancy colored diamond trend that is continuing full steam ahead."
Minaj ignited rampant engagement speculation with cryptic social media posts this week. On Tuesday, April 14, she posted an Instagram photo of herself and Mill in Miami. The image showed her wearing a giant ring on her engagement finger, which led people to assume she's been engaged to Mill. The following day the engagement talks got more intensified after she tweeted three emojis, which were a diamond ring, a heart, and a diamond, and captioned it with "I'll post it later." And when a follower tweeted at Mill calling him "lucky," he retweeted the comment, adding, "I am!"
