Wale is currently ruling Billboard 200 with his newest album "The Album About Nothing". Arriving in late March, the record inspired by Jerry Seinfeld's "Seinfeld" opened with 100,000 units and became the rapper's second effort to top the chart, following his 2013 set "The Gifted".

Wale has described his new album as "super personal." He explained in an interview earlier this year, "It's like a journal that my whole lifestyle is based around. Before, with my music, I was like the point guard with all the handles. Now I'm just taking it straight to the cup. I'm not moon walking to get from point A to point B. I'm running from point A and through point B. You guys are going to hear what I'm saying. I'm going to be as transparent as I can be."

Not only did his show inspire the project, but Seinfeld himself was also featured on "The Album About Nothing". Although he's no stranger to the Nielsen ratings, this is the comedian's first time to have appeared on a No. 1 LP.

To commemorate the achievement, he recently talked to The New York Times about his unlikely friendship with Wale and what he found interesting from his music. "My wife was a fan and she plays his music in the house all the time. I liked it, too," he said.

"So I had heard his name and then he came to a show and asked if he could say hello, so he came backstage. I thought he was a very charming young man. And then I heard about the mixtape, and he came up with the idea of doing the whole album. It just felt so offbeat and that's what appeals to me," he continued.

Of what he thought of Wale's music, Seinfeld explained, "Wale, to me, he has a little bit of hypnotic sound in his voice. There's a richness to his emotion. When you listen to the music, you can feel what he's feeling and I like that. Great singing always has that."
