Jim Parrack Replaces Joe Manganiello in 'Suicide Squad'
Movie

The Hoyt of 'True Blood' takes over the Deathstroke role from the 'Magic Mike' hunk after producers decide to go younger with the character.

AceShowbiz - "Suicide Squad" is apparently adjusting its cast ensemble. It's revealed that Joe Manganiello who was initially tapped to play Deathstroke is no longer attached to the antihero movie. El Mayimbe reports that producers decide to go younger with the character and pick fellow "True Blood" alum Jim Parrack as a replacement.

In a picture taken by director David Ayer from a table read, Parrack indeed joins the group while Manganiello is absent. Two other new members, Ike Barinholtz ("The Mindy Project") and Adam Beach ("Cowboys and Aliens"), are rumored to play Dr. Hugo Strange and Ravan respectively.

The cast photo also sees Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Will Smith (Deadshot), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Karen Fukuhara (Plastique), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) among others.

Another one missing in the picture is Jared Leto who is set to play the infamous Joker. The "Dallas Buyers Club" actor has been teasing his transformation like posting pictures of his new clean-cut look on Instagram and trying out his villainous voice on stage during 30 Seconds to Mars' concerts.

"Suicide Squad" is scheduled for an August 5, 2016 release in the United States. It will reportedly take place between "Man of Steel" and "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" which will arrive on March 25, 2016.

As Joe Manganiello is no longer in "Suicide Squad", it's revealed that the "Magic Mike" hunk has joined "Pee-wee's Big Holiday".
