"Sleepy Hollow" gets renewal and new showrunner. The drama series is picked up for season 3 with Clifton Campbell tapped as a new showrunner to replace Mark Goffman who left after the show struggled during the second season.

"I had the pleasure of working with Clifton on both 'The Glades and White Collar'," Fox entertainment president David Madden said. "He is an excellent producer, and we can't wait to see what this team has in store for season three."

Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison are expected to return as Abbie Mills and Ichabod Crane respectively. The new season will "explore how the partnership between Crane and Mills will evolve and what challenges these two witnesses will now face."

"We want to get back to something that feels a little bit more episodic in nature, it has become overly serialized," FOX TV Group chairman Dana Walden said at the TCA back in January. "We are trying to return the fun to it a little bit."
