Oprah Winfrey is clearing out her Water Tower apartment in Chicago as she is preparing to close down her Harpo Studios in the city and transitioning production for her cable network to a new studio in Los Angeles. She is selling her belongings to benefit her Leadership Academy Foundation.

Leslie Hindman Auctioneers will run the sale on April 25 in its Chicago saleroom with a preview held from April 16 to 24. The items on sale include furniture, drawings, porcelain, crystal, silver, clothing, accessories, and paintings including one by American Impressionist artist Richard Miller.

"She is an excellent collector, very well educated," Hindman said of the former daytime talk show host. "She has lots of different interests and over the years she has collected all sorts of different things."
