Disney officially confirms that a sequel to their highest-grossing animated film of all time, "Frozen (2013)", is in development. "Frozen 2" was announced during the Mouse House's annual shareholders meeting on Thursday, March 12.

Kristen Bell who voices Anna and Josh Gad who voices Olaf the Snowman gleefully respond to the news. "Dreams really do come 2!!! #FROZEN2 #itsofficial," the former tweeted along with a picture of her smiling while lying on a bag of ice.

Gad, meanwhile, posted a picture which showed him smiling with Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios John Lasseter. They were on hand for the announcement along with Disney CEO Bob Iger at the meeting.

"We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters," said Lasseter in a statement. "Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that."

"Frozen" is also supported by Idina Menzel as Elsa and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff. The movie collected $1.27 billion worldwide and won two Oscars for best animated film and best song for "Let It Go". To tide fans over the anticipated sequel, a short movie "Frozen Fever" will be screened this weekend in theaters with "Cinderella". All fan favorites including Sven the Reindeer return.
