AceShowbiz - Robert Carradine and his wife Edith got into a bad car accident in Colorado. The "King of the Nerds" host, 60, was behind the wheel when the crash happened. He crossed the dividing line and drove his Mercury sedan into oncoming traffic before colliding head-on with a Honda semi-truck.
His car was totaled as seen in the picture posted on Twitter by The Durango Herald. It might have been a fatal collision if the actor and his wife did not wear seat belts, police said. "The fact that they were wearing seatbelts is why they are with us today," Sgt. James Saunders explained.

The accident happened a week ago on Highway 145 near Dolores, Colorado. Carradine was cited for careless driving. It's unclear what caused the crash, but neither alcohol nor speed was a factor.
He and his wife were rushed to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.
