The name of Cate Blanchett's adopted daughter has been revealed. A publicist for the movie beauty and her husband Andrew Upton confirmed the baby girl's name is Edith Vivian Patricia Upton. Other details of the baby are not provided.

It has been reported earlier that Blanchett and Upton adopted a baby girl who joined their three sons; Dashiell, 13, Roman, 10, and Ignatius, 6. The Australian Women's Weekly was first to break the adoption news after Blanchett was spotted with a baby on a flight in Los Angeles earlier this week. "The Upton family (Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton) have adopted a baby girl," so read s statement issued by the representative. "No further details will be provided."

Blanchett, 45, has been married to screen writer Upton, 49, since December 1997. The actress has opened up in past interviews about her desire to expand her family. "I'd love to have more children," she was quoted by InStyle as saying a year after Ignatius was born. "Just when, I don't know. But the thing is, we hadn't planned any of the others. They just popped out. So you shouldn't overplan these things. If it happens, it would be great."
