Beck's dad is credited for string arrangement and conducting on Bey's 2006 album 'B'Day' that went platinum and won a Grammy for Best Contemporary R'n'B Album.

AceShowbiz - Long before they competed against each other for the coveted Album of the Year Award at the 2015 Grammys, Beck was connected to Beyonce Knowles through his dad. As pointed out recently by a Redditor, the 44-year-old musician who was born Bek David Campbell is a son of David Campbell who once worked with Bey on her 2006 album "B'Day".

Campbell is credited for string arrangement and conducting on the LP, which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard 200. Spawning multiple hit singles like "Deja Vu" and "Irreplaceable", it also went triple platinum and won a Grammy in 2007 for Best Contemporary R&B Album.

In addition to Beyonce's "B'Day", Campbell has worked on other albums by music's biggest names including Adele's "21", Taylor Swift's "Red", Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" and of course his own son Beck's "Morning Phase".

Many found Campbell's contribution to Beyonce's album interesting. At the Grammys last month, Beck's "Morning Phase" beat the former Destiny's Child singer's self-titled set for the Album of the Year title. After attempting to crash his acceptance speech, Kanye West then dissed Beck, saying the "Loser" hitmaker needed to "respect artistry" and should've given the award to Beyonce.
