Kelly Clarkson has addressed Katie Hopkins' fat-shaming comments. The "Celebrity Big Brother" star dissed the "American Idol" graduate and called her names due to her weight gain, but the chart-topping singer just shrugged them off.

"I don't have a clue what you're talking about," Clarkson said when asked about the criticisms by Heat magazine. She added, "Someone tweeted something about me? She's tweeted something nasty about me? That's because she doesn't know me." She added, "I'm awesome! It doesn't bother me."

"It's a free world. Say what you will," the new mom went on. "I've just never cared what people think. It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good, that's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family -- I don't seek out any other acceptance."

Katie Hopkins criticized Kelly Clarkson after watching her appearance on "The Graham Norton Show". The British star tweeted, "Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen." When many fans came to the singer defense, she added, "Look chubsters, Kelly Clarkson had a baby a year ago. That is no longer baby weight. That is carrot cake weight. Get over yourselves."

Hopkins also bashed Clarkson anew in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Kelly Clarkson is now a chunky monkey, if we're putting it kindly," she said. "She does look like she's eaten her backup singers. My advice: she needs to get out there with her stroller and do some pushing and get some of that weight off."

"We give fat really cute names, don't we?" she added. "We have baby weight, puppy fat, love handles, muffin top, chunky monkey -- ultimately these are all nice names for something that's not very nice ... You're supporting Kelly Clarkson because everybody likes to have a fat friend, because the great thing about a fat friend is it makes you feel slimmer."

"Every fat child has a fat parent," she continued. " And that's -- for me -- why Kelly Clarkson is an important example. She needs to allow her daughter to grow up knowing that it's not great to be fat. It's much better to be healthier."

Hopkins who earned the nickname "the most hated woman in Britain" also criticized Kelly Osbourne's Oscars look last month, comparing the former "Fashion Police" host to a purple-haired troll doll.
