The 'Sydney White' actress reportedly owns an apartment and is 'getting along' with her parents as her conservatorship is extended until a hearing on June 23.

AceShowbiz - Amanda Bynes reportedly has improved since her meltdown last year. A source tells PEOPLE, "Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago. She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence."

On Tuesday, February 24, a Ventura County judge extended the "Easy A" actress' conservatorship until a hearing on June 23. The judge told the actress' lawyer David Esquibias that all existing orders regarding her welfare and finances were to remain in place until then. "Amanda is doing well," David said.

Amanda didn't appear during the hearing. A lawyer for her parents refused to give any comments regarding the conservatorship hearing.

On the same day, Los Angeles County District Attorney also dismissed Amanda's DUI case. Prosecutors decided not to pursue a probation violation for the actress after her September 28 arrest on suspicion of drugged driving.

D.A. spokeswoman Jane Robison told New York Daily News, "Based on the police reports, we don't believe there was a violation."

Earlier this month, Amanda was spotted stepping out in West Hollywood with her hair back to blonde. She looked healthy and relaxed as she strolled on the sidewalk with her female friend.
