Landing online on Wednesday, February 25, the "SNL" promo sees the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star begging her mom Melanie Griffith to watch her new raunchy movie which also stars Jamie Dornan as a successful businessman who is into BDSM.

Accompanied by Taran Killam in the new video, Johnson is seen poking fun at a recent spat with her mom over the movie on Oscars red carpet. When he asks if Griffith has seen the movie, Johnson whines, "Nooo she didn't, and I'm reallllly upset about it!" Killam responds, "So not fair, she's, like, not supporting you!"

The promo also sees Killam suggesting some nicknames for the actress, before she agrees on "Dakota 'The Rock' Johnson". The 25-year-old actress additionally introduces her new movie and helps Killam choose a tie for a dinner.

During the February 22 Academy Awards, Johnson and her mother made headlines after they were seen having an awkward moment during an interview. Back then, Griffith told a reporter she didn't watch "Fifty Shades of Grey", explaining, "She's a really good actress. I don't need to see that to know how good she is." Her daughter, who was upset with the comment, remarked, "All right, you don't have to see it."
