Ronan Farrow and Joy-Ann Reid will have new roles at MSNBC after their shows are shelved by the cable news network.
- Feb 21, 2015
AceShowbiz - MSNBC cancels "Ronan Farrow Daily" and "The Reid Report", The Hollywood Reporter learns. Veteran anchor Thomas Roberts will take over the two-hour block from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M., making him leave his 5:30 A.M. program "Way Too Early".
Until a permanent replacement is found, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are expected to take up the vacant slot by starting their 6 A.M. program "Morning Joe" a half-hour early. The change will reportedly start on March 2.
Although their shows are canned, Ronan Farrow and Joy-Ann Reid will stay at the cable news network. The former will get interview-driven primetime specials and the latter will produce original reporting for all platforms and make regular appearances on the primetime block.
