The first behind-the-scenes image from the highly anticipated "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" has surfaced online. Arriving via producer Jerry Bruckheimer's Twitter page, the photo offers a glimpse of Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow. The eccentric character can be seen on the screen while two people in costumes sit and watch the scene.

On Tuesday, Disney announced that the fifth installment in "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie franchise started filming in Australia. In the upcoming movie, Sparrow will face off a villainous character played by Javier Bardem. Sparrow will set off in an adventure to seek an artifact which will help him fight the ghost.

Directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning with a script by Jeff Nathanson, the movie features Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and Golshifteh Farahani as supporting characters. Geoffrey Rush will reprise his role as Captain Barbossa, while Kevin McNally and Stephen Graham are back as Joshamee Gibbs and Scrum respectively. The movie is set for release in the U.S. on July 7, 2017.

In related "Pirates" news, animal rights supporters are slamming the movie's production team following their bid to import two Capuchin monkeys aged 19 and 20 from California to Australia, reports The Guardian. The monkeys are set to play "Jack the monkey", Barbarossa's pet.

The animal rights groups urged the government to stop "Pirates" production team from importing the monkeys, saying that the long journey would be stressing for them. "It is not too late for the Pirates of the Caribbean production team to commit to end the use of wild animals in the entertainment business," said Cordelia Britton of Wild Futures. "With the technology currently available, fantastic films can be produced without the need to exploit animals."

A spokesperson for the Department of the Environment has commented on the issue, telling the news outlet, "This application is being assessed and a decision is expected shortly."
