A new "Alien" movie may come sooner or later. Earlier this year, director Neill Blomkamp posted some concept arts for an unknown "Alien" movie, prompting speculations that a new flick is coming. Sigourney Weaver, who plays Ripley in the films, talked about the possibility of the movie during a press junket for her new movie "Chappie", saying that she did see the concept arts.

"We started chatting about it on 'Chappie', like the first day. And he grew up watching these, I think he broke the tapes he watched them so much... But I was sort of surprised. He sent me a lot of artwork last spring and some ideas, and so you know...," she told Cinema Blend, referring to Blomkamp.

Weaver seemingly doesn't completely shut down the possibility of a new movie with Blomkamp. "I think we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens. There's no one I can imagine that would do a better job," she said.

In a separate interview with Uproxx, Blomkamp who also serves as "Chappie" director, co-producer and co-writer also talked about the chances of making the movie. "Basically, what happened was, when Chappie got heavily into post-production, I could take my foot off the gas a bit," he explained. "I was thinking about what I wanted to do next and I've been wanting to make an Alien film for like years and years."

"There's a high possibility, a high degree of chance that it happens that I go back and try to get Alien made," the director added.
