In the animated sequel Shrek 2, directed by Andrew Adamson, Kelly Asbury, and Conrad Vernon, the beloved ogre returns for another adventure. Following his honeymoon with Princess Fiona, Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) is pressured to meet his new in-laws, the king and queen of the faraway kingdom of Far Far Away. Accompanying him are his loyal wife Fiona (Cameron Diaz) and the ever-talkative Donkey (Eddie Murphy). Upon their arrival, they encounter Fiona's parents, King Harold (John Cleese) and Queen Lillian (Julie Andrews), who are less than thrilled to discover their daughter has married an ogre. Meanwhile, the scheming Fairy Godmother and her son, Prince Charming (John Lithgow), plot to break up the happy couple and secure the throne for themselves. With its blend of humor and heart, the film features a screenplay by Andrew Adamson, Joe Stillman, J. David Stem, and David N. Weiss, and was produced by David Lipman, Aron Warner, and John H. Williams.
