In an open letter she posts on Facebook, the Garbage lead vocalist says the rapper's rant against Beck makes him look 'small and petty and spoilt.'

AceShowbiz - Shirley Manson wasn't impressed by Kanye West's antics at the 2015 Grammy Awards last Sunday, February 8. The Garbage lead singer then penned an open letter in which she blasted the rapper for trying to crash Beck's speech and for telling him to "respect artistry" and give his Album of the Year trophy to fellow nominee Beyonce Knowles.

"Dear Kanye West," Manson opened the letter, which she posted on Facebook on Monday, February 9. "It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry. You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK."

"You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt," she continued. "In attempting to reduce the importance of one great talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own."

"Grow up and stop throwing your toys around. You are making yourself look like a complete tw*t," she added and told West that Beyonce didn't need him to do anything about her Album of the Year loss. "Seems like she's got everything covered perfectly well on her own," she said of the R&B diva.

During the Sunday ceremony, West suddenly jumped onto stage after Beck's "Morning Phase" was announced as the winner of the prestigious award. He approached the 44-year-old musician only to storm off the stage at the last minute.

At first, it looked like he was just making fun of the infamous MTV VMA incident involving Taylor Swift. However, he made it clear that he wasn't joking when he ranted about Beck's win in a post-show interview.

"I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't going to play with them no more. 'Flawless'. Beyonce's video. And Beck needs to respect artistry, and he should have given his award to Beyonce," he said.

On Monday, he explained the rant when he caught up with TMZ in a New York City airport. "Beck knows that Beyonce should have won - you know that," he told a paparazzo. Asked if he'd ever heard of Beck before the Sunday awards show, he replied, "Come on, man, I love Beck. But he ain't have Album of the Year."
